| All of nature’s elements such as water, fossil fuels, sand, gravel, caoutchouc, are returned to the environment at the end of the production cycle under a chemically or physically modified form (emissions, releases, garbage). Recycling waste, as opposed to waste disposal or to the manufacture of new products, needs to be enforced for it is an asset for the environment. ECOPFU’s mission is to contribute to the respect and the protection of the environment: - With our Unserviceable Tyre Division we allow bald or damaged tyres that would otherwise be sent to waste disposal or burnt to be disassembled. Rubber, steel and ply that make them up are recycled to be employed in the manufacture of new products; - With our Wood Division, through the employment of FAO HT ISPM-15 treatment, we contribute to the protection of forests throughout the world. |

| The object of our registered invention is the composition of a bituminous mix to be used for preparing the bottom layer of the roadbed and also for the production process of the roadbed itself. More in detail, our invention consists of a composition based on a bituminous mix, which includes inert stone materials bound by bitumen and which peculiarity is to feature small-sized rubber, to be employed for the preparation of the bottom layer of the roadbed as the roadbed itself (ungraded road aggregate and/or binder). ITALIAN PATENT accepted on 5th April, 2000 EUROPEAN PATENT Accepted on 24th September, 2002 1 APPLICATION ADVANTAGES can be summed up as follows: 1. Lower production costs for roadbeds and concomitant improvement of all resistance and resilience data; 2. Employment of the so-called "Environmental Lever”, which optimises the recycling of inert tyres within an industrial process. |
